Assignments
In Writing, Research, and Technology, you will be engaging in a series of digital writing projects with the aim to develop yourself as a digital writer and researcher. Toward this end you will be preparing an online portfolio of all of your work.
Here is an excellent portfolio from fall 2012.
Note: there are significant changes to the structure of the portfolio for spring 2015, so use this particular portfolio merely as suggestive.

Tweeting Maxims, wherein you will get acquainted with using twitter while rhetorically adapting to the conventions of maxim writing; The "Prologue" should be 200-400 words.

In the Remediating Argument and Research series of assignments, you will explore new media writing technologies and their impact on writing and what it means to be a writer.
This will include:

Each student will have written at least 2 blog posts (not including blog posts in which you share drafts of assignments for peer review) and at least 18 responses (at least one per student in the course).
You must provide a log of all your blog posts and responses. Please subordinate the blog log page to your cover memo page on your website. Include screen shots of all your comments, and number each comment.

Weekly blog, where you will share insights and discuss material with your group mates. You will need to keep a separate log of your blog entries.

The Cover memo is the last of your efforts for the course, wherein you will reflect on your writing decisions throughout the entire semester in a multimodal document. Within the cover memo you will also narrate and reflect on your digital history, that is, your entry into and development as a writer within the world of writing with new media.
