The reflections (100 points or 10% of total grade)
Included in your introduction to this project (on the "Argumentation and Research" page) you are to:
Introduce the project, including links to each of its elements (the YouTube conversation, the proposal, the annotated bibliography, the storyboard, the video mashup.
Provide a first reflection (at least 500 words in length), which should focus on the medium, on the experience of working in/with/across digital video and how that experience relates to and/or contrasts with traditional writing. Narrate your breakdowns, how you resolved them, and what you learned about the technology in the process.
Provide a second reflection (at least 500 words in length), which should focus on the message, on the attempted rhetorical moves, on the editing techniques themselves and why various edits, cuts, mashups, etc. were done (what was their intended effect, and to what degree did you actually fulfill or not fulfill your intentions across different drafts). This discussion should be grounded in the readings and theories on semiotics, remix, and mashup and discuss several of the specific instances in which you deliberately employed those theories.
Connect your efforts in both reflections with one or more core values of the Writing Arts major.
